Mouth Rinses: Mouthwash or Fluoride Rinse
Fresh breath or tooth protection? These are among the choices in choosing whether what mouth rinse to use. It is essential to know what and how important a mouth rinse is. Basically, a mouth rinse is a solution that is gargled or swished and acts to either make the breath fresh or protect the whole oral cavity from a lot of possible mouth problems. It is specifically designed and scientifically formulated using a lot of active ingredients which functions together to make every effort of doing its function. After being gargled or swished, it will then be spat out after a minute or two. The use of mouth rinse is recommended at least an hour after brushing the teeth.
Returning to the question asked would you go for a fresher breath or healthy teeth. Mouthwash performs the function of making the breath smells fresher. It prevents the possibility of developing halitosis or bad breath, but it is not a replacement for brushing rather it aids the regular brushing and flossing. Mouthwash contains active ingredients which are basically breath-freshening ingredients including mint or menthol flavor. Fluoride rinse on the other hand, acts to protect the oral cavity against the formation of plaque. It is basically formulated using a lot of anti-plaque ingredients. It doesn't act to remove plaque rather it protects the teeth from the bacterial plaque which produces acids that "eats" or destroys the teeth. Its fluoride content helps or aids the enamel of the tooth in protecting it against the acid. The same as mouthwash, it is not a replacement for the regular brushing and flossing.
Choosing whether mouthwash or fluoride rinse will both yield a positive result in extending your effort in making the oral cavity away from a lot of mouth problems. Although rinsing with these solutions yields a positive result, it is not recommended for toddlers because they might swallow it rather than spit it out.

I've had my lip peirced 3 times now. If its your first time to have it done, I would rinse it out for about a week or so until its not swollen or sore. Afterwards its fine to not rinse. It won't get infected =)
